| | Biographical | Dr. Wakefield received his D.D.S. degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Dentistry in 1971 and completed a two year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program with the United States Army at Fort Knox, Kentucky in 1980. He has authored many publications on restorative materials and esthetic dentistry, and has lectured frequently at national and international meetings. Dr. Wakefield is a reviewer and on the editorial board of several peer reviewed journals. He is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. As well as a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry. In addition, he is a Diplomate of the Federal Services Board of General Dentistry and the American Board of General Dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and the Dallas County Dental Association. He is currently a tenured Professor and Director of the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency program at Texas A & M Health Science Center Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas.
